Kupwara, October 14: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, PK Pole said on Friday that this year’s record apple harvest affected smooth passage to fruit-loaded trucks along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.

He said Kashmir produced 21 lakh tons of apples this year. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an event in Langate, Pole said the apple harvest has usually remained between 17 and 18 lakh tons, but this year it exceeded 21 lakh tons.
