Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin on Wednesday asked the Forest Department officials to work diligently and protect the country’s forest and forestland.
“Not only for jobs, but work should be done for the nation’s welfare with patriotism. Illegal forestland restoration and forest development should be implemented involving people of all walks of life with the government initiative,” said Md Shahab Uddin.
The minister gave the directions while speaking in a meeting with Forest Department officials at Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport.
“Bangladesh signed various forest protective international conventions. Therefore, forest protection activities should be done with responsibility. Don’t bow down to any fear. Any anti-law activities should be prevented with a strong hand,” said the minister.
