CHANDIGARH: Kirti Kisan Forum inaugurated its website named as kirtikisanforum.com today at Shaheed Udham Singh Bhavan, Chandigarh in the presence of its members. With the help of experts related to IT, the members of the forum will be putting content on the website for the solution of the farm sector and other issues required to be discussed for the betterment of governance and of Punjab as such. The main focus of the forum is on the farming sector including farmers and farm labour.
While chairing the forum meeting, Swaran Singh Boparai and RI Singh jointly appealed to the group members to join the KKF website and contribute articles based on their public experience to solve the problems of the agricultural sector. The website will also highlight the contribution made by intellectuals and writers during the farmers’ movement and connect with the farmers on the ground and give suggestions for solving their problems. Contributors to the website would try their best to guide the farmers from seeds to marketing to make agriculture a good business.
Farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal also joined in this special meeting of the forum convened to launch the website. While congratulating the launch of the website and the efforts of the forum, he expressed hope that they will continue to intensify their efforts to improve the condition and direction of Punjab’s farming sector.
The members present in the meeting emphasized on preserving the waters of Punjab. The continuously falling sub soil water table will make Punjab barren in the coming years. The members of the group promised to contribute more to improve the condition of the farm labour. In today’s meeting, D.S Bains, Kulbir Singh Sidhu, Iqbal Singh Sidhu, G.K Singh Dhaliwal, Karamjit Singh Saran, Harkesh Singh Sidhu, Sarabjit Singh Dhaliwal, Brig. Harwant Singh, M.S Dulat, H.S Brar, H.S Guron, Harbans Kaur Bahia, JS Gill, Nawab Singh Heer and Avtar Singh Hira were present.
